If you want to want to actively experience the real side of this great country, then this trip is for you!

From Mexico City to the Caribbean, travel through new and ancient cultures, bask on sun-splashed beaches, explore archeological wonders, savor rich seafood and saunter down the side streets.  Find out for yourself why Mexico is such an amazing destination filled with friendly people, diverse landscapes, rich culture and a bountiful heritage.

Week one We begin this spectacular journey in Mexico City where

we will have the opportunity to explore the Templo Mayor of the

archeological site of Tenochtitlan, Catedral, Palacio Nacional and

works of Diego Rivera situated in the heart of the historic district.

Out of the city limits the World Heritage Site of Teotihuacan beckons.

We spend the day climbing some of the tallest pyramids in the world

andunderstanding the rich history of the Nahuatl. A short journey takes

us to the famous silver town of Taxco.

Nestled in the mountains we can explore Taxco's narrow, winding streets.

Traveling over the mountains takes us to the famous resort town of Acapulco

where the La Quebrada divers, Pacific beaches and fresh seafood await us.

Week two Leaving the jet set in Acapulco we discover the quiet

fishing/surfer village of Puerto Escondido.  Timing is everything

because we are just in time to celebrate Los Dias del Muertos or

Days of the Dead in the colonial city of Oaxaca.  Here we can

explore museums, the historic ruins of Monte Alban and Mitla,

El Tule Cypress tree, the petrified waterfalls of Hierve del Agua,

colorful city markets and the festivities at local cemeteries.

Climbing into the highlands of Chiapas we reach the captivating

village of San Cristobal de las Casas.  Here you can glimpse the

truest existing remnant of the Mayan civilization.  The cobblestone

streets are filled with local indigenous villagers dressed in their

traditional colorful clothing, similar to their ancient ancestors.

Week three You have the opportunity to marvel at the awesome

sheer cliffs of the Sumidero Canyon while enjoying a thrilling boat ride.

As we descend into the emerald green hills of the Ocosingo Valley,

the peaceful ruins of Tonina enchant us.  Before the jungle surrounds

us we have the chance to view the turquoise blue waters of the

Agua Azul and the thundering waterfalls of Misol Ha.Experience one of

Mexico's most beautiful and largest ancient Mayan cities

as we tour the ruins of Palenque and the jungle surrounding its temples.

After a night bus ride the warm waters of the Caribbean welcome us.

Week four While in the Yucatan we will relax on white sandy beaches,

swim in blue seas, climb pyramids and explore underground caves.

We will discover the cliff side ruins of Tulum that look out onto the

Caribbean, enjoy the spectacular sound and light show at the World

Heritage Site of Chichen Itza, the night life of the Mexican Riviera

in Playa del Carmen and beach volleyball, snorkeling or just relaxing

in a hammock on Isla Mujeres.  After exploring the world-class resort
